Super League basketball team Belfast Star has received a welcome boost for the 2007/2008 season, having secured a significant financial sponsorship package from The Mortgage Shop, it was announced today.

Women’s participation in national sport received a welcome boost today with the announcement that the first women’s basketball team to represent Northern Ireland will play in the prestigious national basketball league in Ireland.
