Customer review

I recently purchased my first home with the help of Kelli O'Connor Wilson at the Mortgage Shop.

Being a first time buyer I knew very little about how to go about applying for a mortgage. I was told to try my own bank but they turned me down and I was not very hopeful about getting a mortgage at all.  However, after a chat with Kelli, she helped me understand why my bank might be unwilling to lend me a mortgage in the current financial climate.

Kelli helped me to look for a mortgage by first asking me some simple background questions and before I knew it she had already found me eight lenders willing to offer me a mortgage in principal. Kelli then helped me go through each offer from the different lenders so I could choose the one that suited my needs best.  All throughout the application process Kelli made sure I understood everything we went over by talking plainly to me and not at me (like some people do).

It took me almost 15months after that first meeting with Kelli for me to complete the purchase of my first home (this was partly due to personal reasons and missed opportunities by myself) but to Kelli's credit she never lost interest in my application and was always there to help answer any questions or give me her professional advice by emails, txt mgs, phone calls or in person.

When I finally found the property I wanted to buy Kelli was able to act very quickly and secure me an offer of loan in principal.

Kelli also arranged my life cover for me in the same professional and friendly manner as she did with my mortgage.

I would highly recommend Kelli O'Connor Wilson at the Mortgage Shop to anyone who is thinking of buying a property or even just arranging life cover as I found her to be pleasant, easy to talk with, informative, helpful, respectful and truly professional at all times.
